OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Chad Lafferty
CEO
Chad Lafferty leads the growth of Wahl+Case, spanning our biggest markets including consumer technology, enterprise IT, retail, consumer and engineering. Prior to Wahl+Case, Chad was Associate Director for a global recruitment firm where he led three high-performing teams for the Japan business. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds a degree in Journalism.
Hideki Kato
CFO
As CFO, Hideki is responsible for the overall administration of the company and supports the continuous growth of Wahl+Case. Hideki has worked in a wide range of industries, including distribution, music, fashion, and e-commerce, and has held positions as Director, Chief Planning Officer (CPO), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). During his time at United Arrows, he led the company to the Grand Prix of the first “Corporate Value Improvement Award” by the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). Hideki holds a BA in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Bryan Cheng
Managing Director
Bryan holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from Waseda University. He has built one of the deepest networks in the sector over his twelve year (and counting!) term at Wahl+Case, first as a start-up member and now as the Managing Director. Loves まぐろの赤身, competitive team sports, and a forever Michigan State Spartan. (Might be a Taiwanese Eazy-E)
Kristine Ayuzawa
Director
People Operations
Kristine aims to cultivate an environment where targets are exceeded and learning is continuous. She develops effective hiring, learning, and performance management strategies for Wahl+Case, with an eye on both candidate and employee experience. Before shifting to an internally-focused role Kristine worked as a recruitment consultant, where she gained experience in everything from interim to executive recruitment. She is a graduate of Cornell University, and holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
Milos Cavic
Director
Enterprise & Financial Technology
Milos has wide-ranging work experience in consulting and project management with renowned international organizations in Asia and Europe in addition to more than eight years’ recruitment at Wahl+Case. He currently manages two high-performing teams at Wahl+Case specializing in executive search, sales and marketing professionals in the enterprise B2B and adtech /marketing technology sectors. Milos comes from Serbia's capital Belgrade, and holds a BA in Political Science (University of Belgrade) and a Master's Degree in Economic Development (University of Trento, Italy).
Graham Burt
Senior Manager
Consumer & Marketing Technology
Graham joined Wahl+Case in 2013 to establish an enterprise tech focused team. He successfully created a profitable specialist team focusing on sales and marketing searches at firms either starting up in Japan, or launching and growing Japan offices. Graham has experience recruiting in financial services tech prior to joining Wahl+Case, and was manager of international operations for a background screening company based in Tokyo. As well as taking on senior level searches in sales and marketing for enterprise tech firms in Tokyo, he covers Sales Enablement; equipping all the consultants at Wahl+Case with tools and knowledge to do a great job.
Thomas Simmons
Manager
Engineering & Design
Thomas leads the engineering and design team at Wahl+Case. Previous to joining, Thomas was able to become the top billing consultant at another competitive global recruitment firm where he later became Manager, and also worked as a Principal Consultant for an executive search firm. Thomas brings a wide range of expertise, having recruited for engineers, designers, sales and marketing, permanent and contract hires. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Thomas holds a Master's degree in philosophy from Western University and is an avid NBA fan and fantasy league champion.
Marcel Oka
Manager
Enterprise & Consumer Tech
Marcel, Manager of the Client Facing Engineering Team, brings over 5 years of experience in recruitment and team leadership to the table. A University of Bradford alumnus with a degree in Business Computing, Marcel previously served as a Market Leader at Go! Go! Nihon. Certified in Japanese language proficiency and insurance, Marcel is not just a multifaceted professional but also a passionate Liverpool soccer fan hailing from Indonesia.
Anju Kajihara
Marketing Manager
Anju leads Wahl+Case’s marketing team and is in charge of the company’s content strategy, web presence, social media channels and events. Prior to joining Wahl+Case in 2016, Anju worked as a digital marketer for several startups in Tokyo, both in B2C and B2B. He holds a Master’s Degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Hamburg.
