The app “Spacework” helps you find one-day jobs. It was officially released in September 2017, and registrations have exceeded 10,000 as of August 2018. The app is run by the company Spacelook. Representative Reo Taniguchi found the company when he was 17, and continues to take on new challenges to achieve his mission of “promoting a new way of working to the world”. Spacelook itself is a pioneer of a new corporate structure.

This year’s TIA Tokyo event brought to us some incredible speakers including Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and Initialized Capital. Despite there being a pot of gold glistening at the main stage of the venue, it was puzzling to see that not many tech Tokyoites had treasured this opportunity to learn from such influential leaders in tech (Tokyo Game Show was on during the same week).

Last Tuesday, Code Chrysalis and Wahl & Case co-hosted an event “Creating Opportunities out of Failures” featuring Casey Wahl, Founder and CEO of Wahl & Case and Masa Nakatsu, founder and Ex-CEO of Orb. Yan Fan, CTO and co-founder of Code Chrysalis led the panel discussion as we explored inspirations, hardships and insights from the startup founders at different stages of their startup journey.
